You see how my luck swings like a pendulum...
I got this Black 7 Port USB 3.0 Hub On/Off Switches days ago and it works with USB 2 with no power supply. But tonight I tried USB 3.0 using two WD My Passport external hard drives into a new FL USB 3.0 port and its terrible. Computer recognizes one - but files won t copy and it gets error. The other clicks. In addition if any of the power switches are turned on and you so much as touch the unit other lights flash. If i plug these hard drives into the computer s USB 3.0 sockets both units work perfect. But not this device whether powered or not.
For USB 2.0 it's flawless, but there's identical units for $10 cheaper, sans USB 3.0 that can be found. Too bad, in theory this would have been an excellent external hard drive manager.
