I came across an article about re-purposing PogoPlugs while researching another topic a few weeks ago. I had a project in my queue that could use a small headless Debian server, and this seemed like an inexpensive start for some experience with ARM Linux. I read some articles here and at qnology.com, but missed Leggomyeggo's post in Off-Topic about root SSH access - no longer a software only task. While I could shop for or get access to a decent soldering station, and get some connectors, hook up a serial port, etc, this is significant project creep vs. what I really want to accomplish.

So, one is still in the original box, and one has been out long enough to phone home and for me to observe that it only answers to port 80, not port 443; the pogoplug web site no longer offers the 'enable ssh' option. It will go back in the original box, but some of the bags will be missing.

You can have them both for the price of shipping in the US only, $13.45. (Priority Mail flat rate box. Not negotiable, that is the easiest thing, and the alternative is that the systems go to electronics recycling, and I keep the cables).

Let me know.
