USB serial console connected, lost root password (2 replies)

Hi,

I have my Pogoplug V4 connected via serial cable which is on U-Boot 2016.05-tld-1 (June 12 2016 ....) I forgot my Debian's root password. Is there any way I can reset the password? -or- most preferably, I like to re-install the rootfs/linux (debian) on a new flash drive - how can I do that ?
