Zyxel NSA325 Debian (1 reply)

Hello everyone, this is my first time writing here.

Recently, about 2 months ago I bought and set up a used zyxel nsa325 as a replacement for my google drive, put in two 1tb hdd's and set them up as raid 1 for safety. I've set the nsa as a simple FTP server, everything works fine on my home network. The main problem i have is i can't port forward on my router because it uses CGNAT, so there is no way to connect to the nsa from a different network. Also there is no way to set up a vpn on the router, it doesn't support it. So the best way for me to move forward is to use tailscale. I have already tried it using an old phone as an exit node and it seems to be working, except the transfer speed is horrible - max. 1bmps. I've searched for some solutions to my problem and ended up here. So my main question is - Is it possible to install Debian on the zyxel nsa325 and use tailscale directly on the nas? I've never done this on a nas server. I have some knowledge with pc's regarding software and hardware, there's no problem for me to flash win or linux or android on phones and to change some parts, but i have found very little info regarding debian or openwrt for this exact nas.

Any help is appreciated!
