Installing Pogoplug Debian on 2nd USB from a working 1st USB? (no replies)

Today I barely got uBoot on the 2nd Pogoplug Pro, and ran into trouble. Although the internal Pogoplug OS is likely whacked, fortunately uBoot is well enough to boot the "old" Debian stick :-))

The old Debian USB stick is a monster of experimentation, god only knows wrong repositories and every GUi except something that works. But it boots. I made notes how to configure it near perfect (right before the GUI stage) next fresh install.

Any suggestions I'm all ears. The other identical PogoPro has OpenWRT booting it so i don't think that will allow the kind of straightforward install like Qui's excellent guide I was going with.

I kick myself for a triple-witching moment today, a bad copy-paste one character off, wondering if i should go 4GB or 8GB, just nervousness and usually I'm bright enough to take a break.

So the old stick boots, super happy all is not lost. If in a total jam I could spend a day or two and purge my bloatware Debian.
But i still blew my chance to install a fresh Debian with little more than Webmin and back it up.

It's a cautionary tale for fellow newbs, when you get a nice install, make a backup. I did on the E02 and am glad I did. I did not on the PogoPro and am not glad I didn't.
