Dockstar with Debian. Can I use Debian's kernel? or one of the ones posted here? (3 replies)

basically if i install debian, is the stock debian kernel able to work fine? or do i need one of the tweaked ones listed here?

i've messed around with my dockstar before but it's been over a year so i dont remember what needs done with the kernel. It is a Seagate Dockstar.
